Electronic Media and Television Patrakarita

The college offers two short-term certificate courses on Radio Jockeying and Television Patrakarita in collaborations with Moving Media Workshop.
The course on Radio Jockeying provides fundamental knowledge on Scripting, Radio Jockeying, Voice Modulation, Pronunciation and Drama along with the outdoor visit to FM Radio stations.
The Electronic Media or Television Patrakarita is a course in Hindi which provides essential skills to be an Electronic Media Reporter. The course content includes Camera Training, News Reading, Reporting, Weather Anchoring, Make up skills, Pronunciation, Voice Modulation and Outdoor Shootings.
The courses have elicited very good response. The feedback has been very encouraging as the students enjoy the course and find it extremely useful, in development of communication skills, public speaking, self-confidence. The course also provides various placement opportunities.

Television Journalism and Photography

The college offers Short Term Certificate Courses on Television Journalism and Photography in collaboration with the School of Convergence. The courses aim to provide an integrated programme to equip students with the basic and essential skills that tomorrow’s media professionals must possess.
The course on Television Journalism covers major aspects of Journalism including Broadcast Journalism, Reporting, Scripting, Anchoring and overview of Television News Production.
The course on Photography covers essentials like Principles of Light, Fundamentals of Photography, Information on Cameras, Lenses and other accessories, Introduction to Digital Photography and Indoor–Outdoor Shoots.
The expert faculty are all renowned professionals and include Mr. Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, Mr. A. Ravi Shankar, Ms. Anju Grover, Mr. Amitabh Bhattacharya and Ms. Arpita Chatterjee. The feedback of students has been extremely positive.
The courses are open to students of Miranda House, colleges of Delhi University and other recognised universities.
