Basis of Selection in the
College |
-
Selection is on the basis of marks. secured in the Senior
Secondary High School Examination of the CBSE or an equivalent Board. As
the number of seats is limited, eligibility does not guarantee admission.

A limited number of seats are available on the basis of merit in sports
and extracurricular activities as determined by a selection process
carried out on announced dates.

Economics Department does not consider
Business Mathematics in lieu of Mathematics, which is a compulsory
subject.

Economics, History, Political Science and
Sociology Departments do not permit inclusion of the subjects listed
from 22 to 31 while calculating the aggregate of best four
subjects.

English Department does not permit inclusion
of the subjects 20 and 22 to 31 while calculating the aggregate of best
four subjects.

Mathematics Department does not permit
inclusion of the subjects listed from 23 to 31 while calculating the
aggregate of best four subjects.

Geography Department does not permit
inclusion of subjects listed from 25 to 31 while calculating the
aggregate of best four subjects.
-
Hindi and Philosophy Departments permit
inclusion of only one subject from the subjects listed from 24 to
31.
-
B.A. Programme permits inclusion of only one
subject from the subjects list from 24 to 31.
- B.A. Programme (Functional Hindi) include Computer Science, Stenography in Hindi and subjects listed from 24 to 30 in B4S.

Sanskrit and Bengali Departments permit
inclusion of two subjects from the subjects listed from 24 to 31.

Admission on the Basis of Excellence
in Sports |
|
Those candidates who would like to be considered on the
basis of Excellence in Sports are required to fill the Yellow
Application Form attached to the College Prospectus. Only those
students who have represented the Zone at Inter-Zonal; State at the
National; and Country at the International Level Tournaments during the
last three years are eligible to appear for trials.
The Sports Trials will be held on Thursday, 19 June to Friday, 20 June 2008 at 10 a.m. in the College Sports Grounds. At the
time of Trials, candidates are requested to come in Sports Kit for the
trials, and to bring the Original Certificates authenticating
participation in sports.

Admission on the basis of Excellence
in Extra-Curricular Activities |
|
Candidates who would like to be considered on the basis
of Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) should fill the Pink Application
Form and submit it to the office along with supporting documents. The
names of short-listed candidates will be displayed on the College
Admissions Notice Board. The auditions will take place on Tuesday, 1 July 2008 at 10 a.m. in the College Auditorium. On the day of the auditions, bring original certificates
or other supporting documents to substantiate claim of past performance in
extra-curricular activities. Candidates should bring their own music,
costumes, instruments and any other props for the audition.

Only 5% concession on the last cutoff will be given to
the candidate on the basis of Excellence in ECA. |
