About Miranda House

Miranda House, a residential college for women, is one of the premier educational institutions of the country. It was founded in 1948 by the then vice-chancellor Sir Maurice Gwyer, and has since then become synonymous with excellence and innovation. The college offers graduate and postgraduate degrees in the humanities and natural sciences to over 3500 of the brightest minds, and has the unique privilege of being awarded All India Rank 1st amongst Indian colleges consecutively for 3 years. It has also been graded A+ with a CGPA of 3.61 by the NAAC, making it one of the highest-performing institutions of higher education in the country. A strong academic foundation is supplemented by enthusiastic participation in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. The college has multiple societies showcasing the students’ in-house talent in dance, debate, music, quizzing, environment, fine arts and photography. Regular collaborations with international faculty and universities provide invaluable exposure and mould Mirandians into holistic and well-rounded individuals.

About the Placement Cell

The Miranda House Placement Cell serves as the foremost platform for interaction between various stakeholders that govern the career aspirations of Mirandians. With a newly revamped system of functioning to ensure efficiency and target achievement, the MHPC has collaborated with a variety of prestigious companies working in different sectors, such as DE Shaw, ICICI, Outlook, Oberoi Group, ZS Associates, Matchbox Pictures, ABP News, Urban Clap and Thomson Reuters.

For students inclined towards higher education, the Placement Cell has conducted seminars with TIME, Talerang, IAS academies, Ashoka University and Ohio University, to name a few. A college placement portal has materialised our aim of being technologically driven, transparent and dynamic with students throughout courses and years.

Convenor's Message

Reputation precedes Miranda House, and it is only because of the admirable work ethic, talent and focus that Mirandians bring to whichever role and environment they seek for themselves. The Placement Cell of Miranda House strives each day to bridge the gap between our students’ aspirations and capabilities, and organisations in search of the same skill sets. As a facilitator of professional success for Mirandians, it gives me immense pleasure to watch the Cell achieve new milestones every year and am certain that the academic session 2019-20 will be no different.
