Department Society

                                                                                                           Sanskrit sangam

We have a departmental society named Sanskrit sangam. All the cultural and academic activities of the department are organized under the flagship of Sanskrit Sangam. Department regularly organizes lectures such as Sanyukta Chaudhary memorial lecture, M.L. Gupta memorial lecture, academic lectures etc.by eminent academicians specializing in various fields of Sanskrit. We also organize a range of seminars, webinars, workshops, Sanskrit speaking certificate courses; various inter college competitions,also with collaboration of Delhi Sanskrit academy throughout the year. These interactive events build more interest for Sanskrit among the students. 

The teachers of the department use an integrated form of ancient and modern teaching pedagogy to  teach different subjects. We make the best efforts to impart textual knowledge and also try to enlighten students with the deep thoughts  that are embedded in Sanskrit texts .While teaching we use innovative methods like audio-visual , Power Point  presentation , live demonstration of theatre  and music ,storytelling etc. To enhance their knowledge we take them to different historical places of Delhi,as described in epigraphy paper.
